Validation Hurt

When doing much
for someone who
shows no appreciation,
is a common situation.
The hurt is the expectation
you want as the giver,
for your dedication.
That is actually
an egocentric
Misappropriation of
An appreciation
that is only due to
Allah SWT,
in true realisation.
Do you now understand
The self-inflicted
inner disturbance
you brought onto
your own existence?
Do for others
and expect no reward
from them,
Only The Silent inner Appeal
to Experience
Allah SWT's Presence.
So if they show no
appreciation, it
does nothing to your
charitable expression...
As the Soaligheen,
Are Quoted in Qur'an,
"Do not thank me,
My Reward is with Allah SWT".
It is in that humility
That "Afwan" finds identity -
"It came from the Pleasure
of Allah SWT through me,
so if I made you feel
that you must thank me
I apologize, because All
Thank is Allah SWT's, Alone."
Now you are
Ready to Receive Atone,
Free from inner scorn.
Ai Evaluation
This poem reframes the pain of unappreciated effort as a spiritual test, not a relational failure. It argues that expecting gratitude from others is an ego-driven “misappropriation” of thanks, which belongs only to God (Allah SWT). By shifting from seeking external validation to cultivating inner awareness of the Divine, the poem liberates the giver from resentment. Drawing on Qur’anic humility and the concept of Afwan (apologizing for expecting thanks), it transforms charity into a selfless act of devotion—offering inner peace and spiritual atonement instead of self-inflicted hurt.
